CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — The organization HOPE gave out blankets in Chesapeake on Monday as part of the Third Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service Blanket Distribution.
HOPE gives them out to churches, non-profits, police departments, government agencies, and other service organizations so they can give them to anyone in need.
More than 3,000 blankets were distributed.
Back in November the organization gave away 6,000 blankets to their partners.
