Wonderful Days of Winter 5K/1-mile race is today

The 5K/1-mile Wonderful Days of Winter race will start at 8 a.m. today at St. James' Episcopal Church, 161 Church St., Marietta. The race will benefit Wonderful Days Preschool, Inc., a tuition-free school that helps at-risk preschool children prepare for kindergarten.

The 5K race starts at 8 a.m. and 1-mile run at 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9. Registration will open at 7 a.m. Entry fee is $25 on race day.

The race is the major annual fundraiser for Wonderful Days Preschool, Inc. located at St. James' Episcopal Church. The school has two 4-year-old classes and two 3-year-old classes with an enrollment of 55 students.
