Florida International University to Host WordCamp Miami on February 19-21

MIAMI, FL -1 Feb, 2016 -The 8th annual WordCamp Miami, a conference put on by experts focusing on everything WordPress, will be held from February 19 through February 21, 2016 at Florida International University in Miami. With more than 70 speakers from South Florida and around the world discussing wide-ranging topics such as content creation, blogging, designing, developing, marketing and all things WordPress, the conference is slated to be one of the largest technology events in South Florida.

Its rare we get an affordable general web and blogging conference in South Florida, said David Bisset, local WordPress developer. So, this volunteer-supported event is great for students, small business owners, and freelancers. Over 700 attendees came last year and we sold out we are expecting a similar crowd this year especially since now we have special events and swag planned for the young ones.

From WordPress beginners to core developers, WordCamp Miami attendees at all levels can expect to grow their knowledge in an extensive range of topics, with sessions focusing on how to use WordPress more effectively, freelancing, blogging, SEO, JavaScript, website security and more. The conference is especially family-friendly this year, with a Kids Workshop teaching kids ages 8-13 to create their first blog, an arts, crafts and STEM class, and a kids panel. Children are welcome to attend both days on the weekend, and are free to attend. Tickets are priced at $35 per person for the weekend. Fridays workshops are individually priced, with discounts available for teachers and students.
