Third WordCamp Maine to occur May 13 to 14, 2016

PORTLAND, Maine — WordCamp Maine's (maine.wordcamp.org) second event will occur May 13 and 14, in Portland, Maine. The event will feature talks, demonstrations, and workshops centered around the popular web content management system WordPress. Keynote speaker for the event will be Mel Choyce from Automattic, Inc.

Schedule:

Friday, May. 13: Foundation Day will feature workshops for users who are new to WordPress, beginner developers, or need to get reacquainted with the platform. For the more advanced developer, the day will also include a Contributor Day for those who would like to contribute code to WordPress core.

Saturday, May 14: Speakers at the event include representatives at GoDaddy, New York Times, Automattic, Hall Internet Marketing, WooCommerce, and numerous freelancers, local businesses and more. The day will feature a keynote presentation by Mel Choyce of Automattic and a brief address by Maine State Rep. Diane Russell. The evening will conclude with an after party at Binga's Stadium in Portland.
