WordCamp Joburg 2016 will unpack WordPress features

The Gauteng WordPress community (one of the largest WordPress groups in Africa) has received approval for the preplanning and hosting of Johannesburg WordCamp in Q3, 2016.

WordCamp is a non-profit conference, focused on all things WordPress, and is relevant to everyone from new users to experienced developers, designers and everyone in between. Not only a great place to learn from some of the most influential people in the WordPress community, but also where to meet new and interesting people who share similar passions. WordCamp Joburg requires volunteers to assist it with this event, as well as speakers and sponsorships from companies that would like to be involved in the South African WordPress community.

A range of sponsorship options is available for the event and exhibition. The event also requires a venue sponsor that is centrally located in Gauteng, can accommodate between 200-400 delegates and has four or five breakaway rooms for presentations and workshops.

South and Southern African WordPress users that have an interesting WordPress website, launched a startup or have an interesting case study on why they used WordPress for their website, blog or online store are encouraged to tell their story.

WordPress is the world's most popular tool for creating any kind of website, from a simple blog to a full-featured business or online store website. With WordPress, it is easy to build a website without writing a single line of code or knowing anything about HTML or design skills to create a professional looking site. Everyday, more than 50,000 WordPress.com websites are launched and WordPress is used to power over 25% of the world's ten million largest websites and over 59% of all websites using a content management system.
